My Gym Experience at Chi X Fitness

If youre reading this post, congratulations! You are one step closer to a healthier lifestyle 😜 (im assuming you read because youre also interested in going to the gym heheheh). Tapi kejap, before you continue reading, please watch the 1 minute video below; its basically a summary of what my experience is all about.





Sooo, it seems pretty fun, isnt it? Well, it is! Going to the gym is actually the thing I look forward to everyday. I can say that the gym is the most positive place Ive been to (besides bookstores). Despite the tortures by our instructors (ha ha ha), I do enjoy every moment spent in the gym. The people are really nice, motivated, and always high spirited. Chi X Fitness yang saya pergi ni terletak di Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur. Gym ni sangat bersih, luas, dan selesa. Di sini, kebersihan sangatlah diutamakan. Setiap kali selepas selesai satu satu kelas tu, mesti pekerja pembersihan akan datang untuk sanitize tikar senaman (exercise/yoga mat) dan mop lantai (sebab lantai dah penuh dengan peluh yang menitik hahaha). Dalam bilik persalinan pula terdapat locker untuk kita simpan beg, bilik kecil untuk tukar baju, tandas, bilik mandi dengan shower hujan, dan sauna. Dalam shower tu memang dah lengkap dengan sabun mandi dan syampu, jadi tak perlu risau kalau terlupa bawa sendiri punya.


Grid Training

Next, about the classes. The classes here are really challenging, yet so much fun. Antara kelas-kelas yang saya takkan miss adalah Box n Burn (we have to punch some bags here), Sh'bam (super fun dance workout), Grid Training (my favourite!), and Body Pump (yang ni kena angkat besi yang dipasang weights). Saya biasanya pergi gym pada waktu petang lepas habis kerja, dan kadang-kadang pada hujung minggu. Dalam sehari tu biasanya saya akan ambil satu atau dua kelas (satu kelas dalam 45 minit hingga 1 jam), bergantung pada tahap kerajinan hahaha. Satu kelas je pun dah cukup untuk buat kita berpeluh sampai basah baju ok, terutamanya Grid Training. Grid Training memerlukan kita untuk buat beberapa jenis workout berbeza-beza berulang kali tanpa rehat, sampailah selesai kesemua reps. Phew, I can totally feel the burn!

Bodypump Class



Sebelum masuk kelas, biasanya saya akan jog atas treadmill atau main basikal dulu dalam 15-20 minit. My faithful gym buddy is Nadzirah Afiqah, jadi kalau dia ada sekali, masa atas treadmill tu lah kita orang akan berjoging sambil bergosip hahaha. In order to book the classes, you need to download their app and make the bookings there. Biasanya kena book sehari sebelum sebab kelas selalu penuh, dan limit untuk setiap kelas dalam 30 orang je.

With Berry Hui

The staffs here are really friendly and helpful! My membership consultant was Yuri, and Berry (in the photo above) was our Sh'bam and Grid instructor. She can dance, and she's also tough! What an idol.

Okay actually... the reason Im writing this post is because I no longer go to this gym. Sedih kan?? Sobs sobs. I had to terminate my membership because I am moving somewhere else soon, thus I wont be able to attend their classes anymore. It was a tough decision since I could just freeze my membership (with a certain amount of fees) but I dont think that Im coming back anytime soon. Jadi nak taknak terpaksalah batalkan dulu keahlian tu. Lepas lepas ni kalau nak join lagi, perlu daftar semula dan bayar yuran keahlian yang baru.

I was their member for only 5 months, but I can feel the progress! Setiap sesi yang mencabar fizikal tu memang betul-betul membantu membakar lemak, meningkatkan stamina, dan menguatkan tubuh. I feel so much stronger and healthier. My fat mass decreases and my muscle mass increases. One time during Grid class, our instructor, Berry, told me and Nadzirah that she can see that we're getting stronger; "I can see progression in you, both of you" *pointing and me and Nadzirah*, "especially you" *now only pointing at me* (hehehe), "good job, you two", said Berry. Thank you Berry, you helped to make it happen!
